These LEDs are connected to a Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller called a Huzzah Feather. Using two apps, WLED and LedFx, I can now play music on a Wi-Fi connected device and the LED strip will illuminate in one of several programmable ways. The initial software setup was a real pain for this project, taking up the bulk of the time, but LedFx is surprisingly powerful and easy to use once running.
